It is a typical Portuguese municipal flag with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of yellow and purple.

Shield Argent, a lion Purple, armed Azure, bordure Sable charged with four vine grapes Or, alterning with four pomegranates Or fructed Gules.
Mural crown argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA DA CHAMUSCA" (sometimes also "CÂMARA MUNICIPAL DA CHAMUSCA").
Meaning:
The presence of the lion is traced back to the Silva kin family arms.
An even more extreme case of these arms can be seen here,
where the quartered background has an almost red shade of magenta while the lion is fully in regular red.

Chamusca Municipality had 8350 inhabitants in 2021, and it is divided in five communes, covering 746 km². It belongs to the Santarém District and to the old province of Ribatejo.
