issuant from base wavy of Azure and Argent a throughout bridge Sable masoned Argent.
Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and long white scroll, as often used for united coomunes, reading
in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE MEZIO E MOURA MORTA".
Meaning:
The shuttle is taken from the arms of the former Mezio Commune, all other parts from those of the former Moura Morta Commune.

Mezio e Moura Morta is one of the five communes of Castro Daire Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 532 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 22,65 km².

Shield Gules a weaver´s shuttle Or in fess with yarns Azure, on base a part of a chain Or, chief Argent charged with a lion passant guardant Azure armed and tongued Gules.
Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MEZIO - CASTRO DAIRE".
Meaning:
The chief is representing the Moniz kin. The village was donated to Egas Moniz by King Dom Afonso Henriques and after the death of the former to his daughter Dona Urraca Viegas.
The shuttle is alluding to local crafts, especially the processing of linen and wool. in traditional technics.
The broken chain is symbolising a shelter for people accused to homicide (Portuguese: mezio).
