Coat of Arms

Shield Or a fess Gules masoned Argent, on chief a 7-point star Azure, on base a barrel Sable with hoops Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MOLEDO - CASTRO DAIRE".
Meaning:
The blue star is an attribute of St. Mary, the local patron saint. The barrel is symbolising agriculture, especially viticulture and the local coopers, a craft of making barrels. The masoned fess is symbolising old age and peopling since times immemorial, becoming manifest by the existence of two local castles.
