Gmina Wągrowiec is a rural gmina (commune) in Wągrowiec County, Greater
Poland Voivodship, in west-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Wągrowiec,
although the town is not part of the territory of the commune.
Area: 347.75 sq.km (134.3 sq.mi); Population: 11,333 (2006)
land under cultivation: 69%
forests: 20%
Arms and flag adopted on March 27, 2003 (resolution # V/55/2003).
"Arms: the shield divided vertically into two halves.
On the right, light blue field an image of Madonna with the Child,
all in color yellow.
On the left, red field an axe with the blade turned to the right.
Color of the blade is gray; handle - brown.
Flag: in colors of white and light blue separated by the thin (1/8)
red stripe.
On the white band, in the left upper corner the Arms are placed."
