Approved on 22 July 1988.
Lebesby municipality is situated in Finnmark county
The flag of Lebesby, approved by Royal resolution dated 22 July 1988, is divided yellow over black by two embattlements. The idea is that the arms and flag represent a cliff by the sea in the municipality, Finnkirka, meaning "the Finn Church" in English. This cliff formation has the appearance of a church, and in former times was used by Saami people as a place of sacrifice.
By the way the municipality has put out a nice looking picture of
Finnkirka, with the North Cape in the background, see

Official blazon in Norwegian: "Delt av gult og svart ved tredobbelt tindesnitt med to tinder."
Blazoned in English: "Per fess emabatteled grady Or and Sable."

The Norwegian blazon is more precise as to how many "grades" and "peaks" there are.
