Municipal flag

Gorssel is in north Gelderland, part of the region Achterhoek, between Deventer and Zutphen. It is on the border between low IJssel-country and higher forest land.

The tower on the flag is derived from the Coat of Arms; it represents the 'koer- or wachthuis' (court- of guardhouse) of Dordt, an estate in the northeast of the municipality on the border between Gelderland and Overijssel.
