The Flag

Located in Ebetsu City Hokkaido Prefecture and established in 1960. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark green background with a sky blue , green, black ,white and red emblem and vertically written gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The university emblem was adopted in May 2000. It is an octagonal shape with an image of a tower silo, a dairy cow, grass, and the English school name. The alfalfa (grass) and green cows in the center indicate cows that eat it and live healthy. The light blue background shows the blue sky of Hokkaido, and the cows living in the sunshine and green earth in the background, or the image of dairy farming as such. The sun's rays are backed by a cross, and the cross indicates that Rakuno Gakuen University is a Christian university.
