Located in Ogaki City Gifu Prefecture and established in 1967. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold emblem in gold fringe. The university flag has green background with a white logo mark. The university emblem was newly adopted in conjunction with the name change from "Gifu Keizai University" to "Gifu Kyoritsu University" in April 2019. The "yew leaf" on the emblem is a design of the leaf of the yew tree, the prefectural tree of Gifu Prefecture, and symbolizes the university's continuous progress. The emblem of Gifu Keizai University was also based on the yew tree. The logo mark is based on the Chinese character 協 "kyo" of Gifu Kyoritsu University, and represents the image of three powers advancing toward a star. The "three powers" represent the "power of education and research," "power of humanity," and "power of the community," which is the idea behind the name of the university, as well as the three faculties including the School of Nursing, the "students, faculty, and staff," and the "local government, business community, and university" in the local community. The young grass color of the logo symbolizes the image of a newly sprouting university.
