The city emblem was adopted on Feb 10th 2003 by Notice No 10 but
there is no flag law.
The light green flag has a green and a blue city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized S of Sanuki.
The green color stands for an abundant nature and a peaceful inland area,
the blue color for a blue sky, Seto Inland Sea and a maritime area.
It depicts a sea bird and a wild bird flying in the sky symbolizing
the bright future of the city.
As a whole, it represents an image of the citizen who holds hands and
spins around with hope and dreams into a new century.
