The flag of the municipality of Rangárþing ytra (pop. 3200) is white with coat of arms. The municipality was created in 2002 mergering of three municipalities: Rangárvallahreppur, Holta- og Landsveit and Djúpárhreppur. The largest settlement and seat is Hella.
