Girvan is a coastal town in South Ayrshire, southwest Scotland. The town has
a population of around 6,000 and is situated on the east of the Firth of Clyde.
Girvan unveiled a new flag last August, see: Girvan Community Flag | Girvan

"The Flag was
delivered to Girvan Harbour by the Girvan Lifeboat at 11am and handed over to
South Ayrshire Councillor Alec Clark. The Flag was marched, accompanied by the
newly reformed Girvan Pipe Band to Stumpy, where the ceremony took place to hand
the flag to the people of Girvan."
The flag depicts Ailsa Craig - a
prominent local landmark, around 10 miles from Girvan - in black, above two
green and two white waves.
In early 2025, a number of local organisations
announced a competition to design a flag for Girvan. 184 designs were submitted.
The winning entry was designed by Winter Ingram of Sacred Heart Primary School.
