Coquelle Gourdin, based in Dunkirk, is a commercial firm involved in ship agency, export, forwarding and control of steel and bulk product.
Founded in 1856, the company quickly grew up as a main firm in the
port of Dunkirk. Félix Coquelle (1864-1928), a wealthy merchant, was
President of the Chamber of Commerce of Dunkirk and Mayor of Rosendaël,
a neighbouring town incorporated in the municipality of Dunkirk in
1972, from 1904 to his death. He is reminded by two buildings
characteristic of the time, both designed by the architect Jean Morel,
the Coquelle Gourdin headquarters in Dunkirk (1908, decorated with a
bas-relief portraying Hermes, the god of trade, a big three-master and
the coat of arms of Dunkirk) and the Château Coquelle (1920-1927, a domain surrounded by a 4-ha park).
Coquelle Gourdin is today a specialized branch of the G. Féron - E.
de Clebsattel agency, founded in 1818 in Dunkirk and now part of the
maritime logistics group Sealogic.

The house flag of Coquelle Gourdin, shown as a graphic on the Sealogic website, is horizontally divided in six alternating white and blue stripes and charged with a white "C" bordered in black, apparently spreading over the four central stripes. The flag is based on the traditional striped flag of Dunkirk.
