Presentation of La Plagne

La Plagne is a French ski area in the alpine valley of the Tarentaise (Savoie). Since 2003, La Plagne and the neighbouring resort of Les Arcs form Paradiski's ski area. It is currently owned by Compagnie des Alpes.

In 2014, La Plagne was named the most popular ski resort in the world with more than 2.5 million visitors a season on average.

La Plagne is located in the communes of Aime-la-Plagne (commune created in 2016 with the merger of Aime, Granier and Montgirod), La Plagne-Tarentaise (commune created in 2016 with the merger of Bellentre, La C te-d'Aime, M cot-la-Plagne and Valezan), and Champagny-en-Vanoise.

The logo of La Plagne has undergone several changes since its creation in 1961 but has basically the same emblem (sunglasses and a red cap) since 1966. The 2005-2015 version has been often seen on flags: photo from this site (2014), photo (2014).

No flag spotted yet with the current version of the logo.
