Port-Leucate is a sea resort located on the Mediterranean Sea, The port was built south of its 'mother' city of Leucate, on the thin stripe of sandy land isolating the pond of Leucate from the sea. In fact, this 'pond', like most of the ponds in the area, communicates with sea by a narrow channel and is therefore marshy, and used for aquaculture.
Yacht Club de Port-Leucate has a 1:2 burgee divided by a white cross, whose vertical arm is narrower than the horizontal. Quarters are light blue, yellow, yellow and light blue. Initials Y C P L in blue are placed horizontally in the white stripe.
