The French movie "Le mariage du siecle" (international title, "Marriage
of the Century") was made by Philippe Galland in 1985. The movie relates
the marriage of the blundering crown princess of an imaginary kingdom,
played by Anemone. The day before her planned marriage with a Grand Duke
of her family, the princess secretly went to Paris and was seduced by a
cynical playboy, played by Thierry Lhermitte.

A lot of flags are shown in the movie. We see the national flag of the imaginary kingdom first as a car flag, then hoisted over the royal palace. The last section of the film relates the marriage. Hundreds of flags waved by the enthusiastic crowd are seen, as well as big flags hanging over the cathedral where the catholic marriage takes place.
The flag of the kingdom (I cannot remember its name, if ever mentioned in the movie) is clearly inspired by Scandinavian flags. It is blue with an orange cross and a light blue fimbriation around the cross. This fimbriation has a very low contrast and cannot be seen clearly in all scenes showing the flag. However, close-ups on flags show it. In most flag, the cross is centered. In a few cases, especially the big flag hoisted on the facade of the royal palace, the cross is skewed to the hoist. The vertical flags on the cathedral are swallow-tailed.
The movie was made in Hungary and I suppose that the extras were allowed to keep the flags they had waved, since those flags would not have been of any use for the producers. Those flags would therefore have become "real" flags and it would be rather funny to see them flying over "real" buildings.
Proportions, width of the cross and the fimbriations and other details
are arbitrary on my images.
