The navy blue flag is parted by a white saltire. In the top quarter is a white "G", in the hoist quarter a white "R", in the fly quarter a white "V" and in the bottom quarter a white Hamburg castle.

The white flag is parted by a red centred cotised cross, in centre is a red rampant bear from the Berlin city arms in a white octagonal shield with red edges. In the canton are red initials "SR".

(Rowing associations of establishments of higher education, i.e. grammar schools and other A-level schools, was the umbrella organisation of pupil rowing associations and was based in Berlin. The flag was parted of black over red by a broad white bend.
