Polsingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a torso of a hound Argent chained Or, at sinister quartered of Argent and Sable, base Argent parted by a facetted saltire Gules.
Meaning:
Polsingen was established in 1978 by a merger of Döckingen, Polsingen proper, Ursheim and Trendel. The saltire, you may also call it a saltire gyronny, is taken from the former municipal arms of Trendel and is alluding to the arms of theCounts of Oettingen as local rulers of Trendel. The hound is tken from the family arms of the Lords of See, who lived in Polsingen between 110 and 1518. The quartered shield at sinister displays the arms of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach, who acquired the major part of the possessions of the Lords of See in 1517. They had also been manorial lords and kept the local cognisance in Döckingen, Polsingen und Ursheim.
