Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a demi-eagle Argent couped per pale, at sinister parted per pale of Sable and Or.
Meaning:
The first amrs were approved in 1818. They displayed a Gothic minster with two spires on a green base. It should be a representation of the Benedictine Ottobeuren Imperial Abbey. Seals displayed the abbey impending since 1836. Otto Hupp replaced it by a Baroque church. The eagle in the current arms displays a differentiation of the arms of the abbey from the 1th century. The tinctures black and yellow are taken from the arms of the Ottobeuren Convent. On flag the arms are in a Renaissance shield fimbriated Or and the golden stripe has black damascene.
