Shield parted per pale; at dexter Argent a sinister facing hound salient Gules on top of a triplemount issuant Vert; at sinister Azure, above a fleur-de-lis Or, beneath two candles Argent in saltire.
Meaning:
The hound is taken from the arms of the Premonstratensian Windberg Monastery, which had been of great cultural and economic importance during the High Medieval. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of St. Mary, the candles are an attribute of St. Blaise. Both are local co-patron saints. The basic tinctures silver and blue had been those of the Counts of Bogen, local rulers, the Wittelsbach kin, their successors since 1242, and afterwards of the Federal State of Bayern.
