Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale into red and silver (= white). On the dexter side is a golden, paly attire. On the sinister side is a black, Latin cross having a tip swept to the dexter side.
Meaning:
An attire in a golden field appeared also in the arms of the former municipalities of Hausen a.d. Lauchert and Mägerkingen (black) - which belonged to Württemberg - and Wilsingen (red) - which was a possession of the Counts of Veringen. Due to heraldic rules the colours of Veringen were counterchanged in the arms of Trochtelfingen. The cross is taken from the former arms of Trochtelfingen. The colours black and white are symbolizing Steinhilben and Trochtelfingen proper, which belonged to Hohenzollern before. The colours of the old city flag were kept.

Description of coat of arms:
In the silver (= white) shield is a black, Latin cross having a tip swept to the dexter side. The shield has a blue tressure with a nebuly inseam.
Meaning:
The origin of the cross is not known but it appears as the symbol of the city on the town hall in 1747 and on the shield of St. Morris (1779 ?). The tressure is derived from the arms of the Lords of Fürstenberg, who ruled the city from 1534-1806 as vassals of the Counts of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. The colours of the flag are those of Hohenzollern, because in 1958 the city belonged to Sigmaringen County.

Description of coat of arms:
In the red shield is a white gonfanon. The shield has a golden (= yellow) chief, superimposed by ablack attire.
Meaning:
The gonfanon is also found within the arms of Steinhilben, another borough of Trochtelfingen. But I don't know its meaning. The attire is symbolizing that Mägerkingen belonged to Württemberg.
