Shield Sable on top of a triplemount Or a leaf with four petals indented of the same.
Meaning:
The municipal arms are basically those of the Watzmannsdorf kin, the most important family of noblemen in the area. The family ruled the Lordship of Thyrnau until 1527. Watzmannsdorf had also been the former name of the village. The municipal arms are based on the version, displayed on a tombstone in the church of Kellheim. The arms are otherwise also described as "four thistle leaves stemmed on a triplemount".
