Description of coat of arms:
In a silver (=white of light grey) shield is a black, eradicated ash tree, superimposed by a bendy, blue cladophyll of ash and above and superimposing another one below.
Meaning:
The ensemble is canting and also alluding to the forestall riches, especially of ash and oak trees, of the settlement in the 7th century. The arms were adopted on occasion of the 1200-years anniversary of an assembly, which was held by Duke Tassilo of Bavaria in 756.

The coat of arms was approved on 29 June 1956 by Bavarian ministry of interior.
