Number of inhabitants by 31.12. 2000: 362. The first written trace
of the village dated back to 1389. Uhlířov is the smallest village in the
south-west of the district of Opava. The village is much under influence
of Opava. Production and economic function of the village has not developed
enough, since most economically active people commute and work out of the
village.
