On 27 July 2010, Philippe Girard-Bélanger, "Le Lac-Saint-Jean", reported the
return of Jean Asselin from Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he hoisted the
municipal flag on the camp of the Canadian forces. Asselin brought back the flag
and offered it to the municipality. On the photo attached to the report, the
flag is hardly visible; however, what is shown does not seem to match any part
of the flag shown above.

The differences may not be all that significant - while there is no blue
border and the stripe is much thinner than in Arnaud's image, we do see a blue
strip on white, and folded under this appears to be an orange/gold area on blue
which could be one of the circular hand depictions.
