York Region does not have an official flag per se, although the logo is
sometimes affixed on a flag or banner against a white background.

York Regional Police flag was created in 1987, designed by sergeant Steven
Heater, and chosen and approved by chief Bruce Crawford. It was first time flown
on 22.10.1987. The design has a dual meaning - nautical signal flag for the
letter "B" and nautical signal flag for "Dangerous Goods".
