According to 'Pavillons nationaux et marques distinctives' [pay00] - Governor-General (1:2) -
The flag of usual pattern with the royal crest and ribbon bearing
the name of the state. This GG
flag must have been adopted around the time when the red
stripes were added to the national flag, that would be 1981.
Previous GG flag was of the defaced UJ type, shown e.g. in [smi80].

I tried to find a picture of the Governor General’s flag, but all pictures of
current and former Governors General show the national flag only in her/his
vicinity. I’ve found only a small image of a flag at
https://ambergriscaye.com, but it is a standardized flag with country name
written with Times New Roman font type on a yellow scroll.
The Album des
Pavillons 2023 already shows a new version of flag with Tudor crown, but it is
unlikely to be in use in real life yet.
