The Royal Bermuda Regiment Coast Guard is a dedicated maritime unit
protecting Bermuda’s territorial waters up to 12 nautical miles offshore.
Formally established under the Defence (Coast Guard Unit) Amendment Act 2018,
the unit has full enforcement authority and plays a critical role in
safeguarding Bermuda’s marine environment, economy, and safety.
Its
racing stripe consists of a blue and a red stripe interrupted by a transparent
stripe.
