Presentation of Ouangani

Ouangani (10,203 inhabitants; 1,850 ha) is a commune located in the center-west of Mayotte. The commune includes five villages: Ouangani, Barakani, Hapanzo, Kahani and Coconi.

Flag of Ouangani

The flag is white with logo, containing a emblem in the shape of a shield. The motto reads "green and connected": photo (2023)

The logo was chosen in february 2021. Propositions in december 2020 can be seen on the Facebook page of the commune.
The "shield" is upported by vanilla vines, and the emblems are an ylang-ylang flower, a symbol of connectivity, a branch of sakoua (april plum or golden apple or pommecythere, Spondias dulcis), and a branch of lychees.
