Description of the flag

The flag was declared on October 19, 2020 after a months long flag design contest, which it was in first place. It was designed by Dena Buening Horton.

The flag shows a scene of a bird soaring in a sunset over hilly terrain. In the foreground is the town name in white cursive font. Under the name is the establishment date in the same style.

Flag Contest
The flag contest took place in 2020, and was accounted on July 31 on the town's Facebook page, which outlined the rules.

The submission of flags ended on September 1, and the three finalists were chosen on September 5. They included the flag which depicted the eagle on a sunset. A logo which came from a T-Shirt that would be used on a flag. and a design which was a blue field with an offset white line. On the white line was a blue emblem which showed an upside down seven pointed star, commonly used by the Cherokee Nation The town is located within the administrative borders of the Cherokee Reservation. under the line shows three wheat branches of red, vintage white, and orange.
