The seal shows a ring with the city and incorporation date on it. In the field is a scene which shows mountains with what resembles the Whittier Creek flowing down the mountains. The seal depicts the Begich Towers Condominium, which is known for housing all of the city's residents. Next to it is what appears to be a boat dock.
