The flag is white with a green stripe at the top edge and a red one at the bottom edge. Shifted to hoist is the logo. On fly is a dark red inscription as follows: "Federação" (1st line) "Portuguesa" (2nd line) "CANOAGEM" (3rd line, bigger and bold).The logo consists of a white shield with dark red bordure ending at chief in two bows and "crested" with a yellow inscription "FPC". On chief of the shield are five light blue inescutcheons in cross, each one charged with a quina, on base is a light blue canoeist, exceeding the shield, over green waves.

The former flag was also white with two horizontal tribands, green-white-red at top and red-white-green at bottom. On centre is the logo like in current flag, but the canoeist is more elaborated and "multi coloured". Under the logo is the full name in black initials.
