It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Shield Vert a cross calvary Argent flanked by a mattock blade Or at dexter and an oak twig of the same at sinister with one acorn and four leaves. Mural crown Argent with three visiable towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "COVIDE - TERRAS DE BOURO" (see right images above)
