Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a horse Or mounted by a knight Or, in chief an orbicular cross Or within an annulet of the same, flanked beneath by a corn cob Or at dexter and a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert at sinister. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "PAÇO DE SOUSA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Sousa River, name giver of the commune.
