Shield Vert with base wavy Argent two barrulets wavy Azure, a pair of peels Argent in saltire and a boulder Argent emphasized Sable all ordered per fess, in chief a yoke Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE VIADE DE BAIXO E FERVIDELAS" set in two lines.
Meaning:
This Portuguese communal coat of arms, as often happens, combines elements from the coats of arms (or projects thereof) of the nominally constituent former communes.

Shield Azure a weathered rocky outcrop (blazoned as a boulder, penedo — and wrongly so i.m.o.) Argent garnished Sable issuant from base flanked by two windmill wheels Argent cordoned Or, in chief an escallop Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FERVIDELAS".
Meaning:
The escallop is an attribute of St. James the Elder, the local patron saint.
