Shield Or a pine branch Vert fruited of the same and a cogwheel Gules in fess, on central chief a grape bunch Purpure leafed Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SILVARES - S. MARTINHO".
Meaning:
The charges are symbolising viticulture, represented by grapes, forestry, represented by branch, and industries, represented by cogwheel.

Silvares (São Martinho), also known as São Martinho de Silvares, is one of the 17 communes of Fafe Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 1256 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 6,29 km².
