Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a cork oak eradicated Argent peeled Or, flanked at dexter by an annulet Or with gemstone Gules, at sinister by a heraldic fountain. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and long white scroll, as often used by united communes, reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE VILAMAR E CORTICEIRO DE CIMA".
Meaning:
The annulet, also a charge in the Cantanhede municipal arms, is taken from the arms of Vilamar, the other charges from those of Corticeiro de Cima.

Vilamar e Corticeiro de Cima is one of the five communes of Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 1363 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 11,05 km².

Shield Azure, two grape bunches Or leafed Argent in fess between an annulet Or gemmed Gules on chief and a honeycomb structure Or with 19 cells ordered 3:4:5:4.3 on base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VILAMAR".

Meaning:
The arms are punning, as a corticeiro is a cork peeler.
