Shield Purpure, issuant from base wavy of Argent and Azure a throughout bridge Argent masoned Sable, on chief a belfry Or with windows Gules at dexter and an eradicated ash Or at sinister. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FREGUESIA DE ANSIÃO".
Meaning:
Bridge and base wavy are taken from the former arms of former Ansião Commune, the belfry from those of the former Torre de Vale de Todos Commune, the ash from those of the former Lagarteira Commune.
Bridge and base wavy are representations of the 16th century bridge, crossing the Nabão River. The belfry is a representation of the local church tower of Torre de Vale de Todos. The ash of Lagarteira is older than 700 years.

Shield Purpure, a two-arched bridge Argent masoned Sable, issuant from base wavy of Argent and Azure, In chief a Marian crown Or, Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FREGUESIA DE ANSIÃO".
Meaning:
Bridge and base wavy are representations of the 16th century bridge, crossing the Nabão River. The crown is an attribute of Our Lady of Conception, the local patron saint.

is the only commune of the namesake municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 3524 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 38,3 km². In 2013 the neighbouring communes Lagarteira and Torre de Vale de Todos were incorporated.

Meaning:
The lizards (Port.: lagartos) are canting elements. The communes name might be something like a tree, visited by lizards. In this case the tree would also be a canting element. The rosary is alluding to St. Dominic, the local patron saint. The tree is a representation of the ash of Lagarteira, which is older than 700 years.
