Blazons: I sølv to grønne spisser. In English: Argent two piles issuant from
base vert.
Approved by the royal resolution of 13 July 1984 after a drawing by Einar H.
Sjkervold from an idea by Egil Stensheim. [c2j87]
The (old)
municipal web site explains that Mosvik has been and is a typical
municipality of primary industry, symbolized by its arms. It symbolizes two fir
trees, M for Mosvik. The "wolf tooth cut" in the arms also hints to once
numerous wolves in Mosvik in the old days.
