* The "dweilorkester" are street bands playing carnaval music.
They used to ramble from cafe to cafe, an act called in Brabantian Dutch
"weilen", that is "rambling in the streets passably drunk" , therefore
their name. See "Dweilorkest"
in Wikipedia.

Wikipedia shmikipedia: a "dweilorkest" is playing during
"dweilpauzes", when the ice is being prepared for the next races
of speedskating matches, in order to prevent the crowds from becoming overly
drunk. It started long, long ago when the "Blauhúster Dakkapel"
started playing when the first big Zambonis appeared in Heerenveen's Thialf-stadium,
and other orchestras followed, playing everywhere all over the land.
"Dweilorkesten" will undoubtedly be playing during the Nijmeegse
Vierdaagse, due to start today.

And the flag disappeared on 5 July, to resurface only ten days later
in Noord-Holland!
"Barneveldse
Krant", 16 July 2009, shows a photo, anonymously sent, of the flag
hoisted in front of a road signal at Enkhuizen. The inhabitants of Voorthuizen
are not pleased at all, and expect the flag to be back to Voorthuizen as
soon as possible.
