No Flag

It appears Oquitoa does not have a flag, as I could find no record of one being used in and outside the municipal building.

Coat of Arms

It appears the council does not know the history of the municipality's coat of arms; all that is known is that it dates anywhere from 1988 (first edition of the encyclopedia of municipalities) to 2005 (known mention in Municipal Regulations). This specific design was created by the council of 2015-2018. The coat of arms uses the same shape as the state coat of arms, using brown instead for its border and the words "MUNICIPIO DE OQUITOA, SONORA". Within, the upper half depicts the St. Anthony of Padua church in Oquitoa. The quarter on the lower left depicts a cattle head, while the one on the right depicts wheat growing on a field being overlooked by a mountain; these two are symbols of the local economy.
