No Flag

I was not informed regarding Huásabas having a flag, but it appears not through research.

Coat of Arms

I was informed by the council that the coat of arms was created by Josefina Durán Moroyoqui in 1985. She was asked to do this by Ricardo Durán, who at the time was the Municipal President. This is because that year, the government of the State of Sonora asked all municipalities to have a coat of arms; clearly, however, many did not decide to do this as some did not adopt theirs well into the 2000's. Description according to the Encyclopedia of Municipalities and Delegations of Mexico:

In the upper part, two scrolls partially rolled with the primitive name colored on orange; within the coat of arms in the upper field the hill of Huásabas, a filled area and the river expressing the significance of its name; in its middle the letter H in red in which the date of foundation is seated; in the upper field of the same lettering on a yellow background its cattle-raising; in the left field on a purple background expressing that it was a missionary head; on the right field hieroglyphs found in painted rock and the Grouping over an orange background; in the lower field its agriculture, all of this being interlaced in a blue stripe with the motto of the municipality [Mi senda trazada, mi meta infinitiva meaning "my traced path, my infinitive goal"]; serving as a base some ribbons partially wavy with the actual name [the modernized version used by the municipality does not have the name]; and to the sides of the coat of arms two acanthus leaves, symbol of strength in its intellectuality; the acanthus leaves and ribbons are in yellow-gold color.
