The current coat of arms was adopted by the municipality during Council Session N°5 of 16 December 1994 and approved by Resolution N°9. This was done shortly after the arrival of José
Manuel Copado as Municipal President. It has the form of a vertical rectangle, in which two halves are found; a triangle cuts through these halves, on which the Historic Temple of Our Lady
of the Conception of Caborca is found; on the green half on the left is the sun, while the white half carries a stylized saguaro. The sun represents a source of inexhaustible life which abundantly
shines on the land; the saguaro is an expression of survival in the desert; meanwhile, the temple is an image which identifies all Caborquenses.
