The council did not find any information regarding the municipal coat of arms. Description according to Héraldica Municipal de Chihuahua:
The form which is adopted is ogival in whose head three points are drawn; parallel to this stroke different minor ones of the same form are inserted, leaving a stripe in which the name of the Municipality Bocoyna is inscribed, its interior is of a single section and has as a background a blue sky and profile views of the Sierra Madre which characterize its territory, in intense green coloring, to represent the abundant vegetation, fundamentally that of pine trees. In the upper part, over the sky and within a white colored ribbon, the motto adopted by the inhabitants of Bocoyna is read: Unidad, Turismo, Cultura [sic; Trabajo instead of Cultura, the motto meaning Unity, Tourism, Work]: a goat, a cow, and a deer, represent the fauna, the Sierra Madre frames the image of a mestizo dressed to the custom of the region and an Indian stretching his hand as a symbol of unity, complementing this shield, the Chihuahua Railway to the Pacific and the Lake Arareco which constitute a source of income for the Municipality, for the Tourism it generates.
