The Flag

The National Railroad and Subway Labor Union Council, abbreviated as Korean Rail and Metro Unions' Council, KRMU, or as Track Council, is a labor union which currently encompasses 14 affiliated railroad and transportation Unions (source: https://railone.kr/affiliation). It was inspired after the Daegu subway fire (February 18, 2003) due to safety concerns of all railroad personnel safety. After numerous strikes (mainly 2003 and 2004) as well as security reports (2005) the Track Council met permanently and in 2008 the focus was to establish an association to advocate for worker's rights, something that was formalized on July 8, 2011.
