Mas'ade is situated in the Golan Heights, 3 Kms south of Majdal Shams. Established in the 19th century by people from Majdal Shams. Under Israeli control since 1967. Local Council since 1982. Pop: 3100 (2003), all Druze.
Origing of the name is the Arabic word Sa'ada (happiness, joy).
In my visit there were no flags at city hall and only flag seen at the village were the five-colors Druze flags.
Emblem at www.cityindex.co.il [retrieved].
