About

The "Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia, APINDO" (English: Indonesian Employers Association) is an independent, non-partisan organization of entrepreneurs engaged in the economical sector in Indonesia. The employers organization is headquartered in Jakarta with regional offices across the Indonesian archipelago. The organization works to bargain different issues faced by employers of the country, as well as to bridge the gap between workers and employers. It was established on January 31, 1952 as "Badan Permusyawaratan Urusan Sosial-Ekonomi Pengusaha Indonesia, PUSPI" (English: Indonesian Socio-Economic Entrepreneurship Consultative Board). At the APINDO II National Conference in Surabaya, in January 31,1985 (other sources mention since April 7, 1978) PUSPI changed its name to the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO). The flag is a horizontal white background with the logo in the middle in white and blue.
