Ramonville-Saint-Agne (14,949 inhabitants, 646 ha) is a commune in the suburbs of Toulouse, in the department of Haute-Garonne.
Legend has it that the toponym Ramonville comes from Raymond IV, Count of Toulouse, who allegedly owned a castle on the hillsides, not far from the current town of Ramonville. He supposedly named the place after himself when he crossed it on his way to the crusade in 1096. The Saint-Agne stream is a boundary of the parish of Toulouse, and its name refers to Saint Aignan, patron saint of Orléans who in 451 delivered his city besieged by Attila. The most famous places in Ramonville are the "Cinquante" farm, which is a former farm of a religious order whose rent was 50 (cinquante) poultry each year, and the Canal du Midi (Canal des Deux-Mers), built by Pierre-Paul Riquet, which is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Ramonville benefits from the Toulouse area of influence concerning the aeronautics and space industry. The "Canal technology park" dedicated to space, satellite navigation and its applications, remote sensing, IT and biotechnologies, hosts 250 establishments on 33 ha.

"After 21 years of good and loyal service, the city's logo had become
obsolete and no longer responded to the city's dynamics. Simple and
modern, the new logo reflects and accompanies the evolution and
dynamism of the municipality. The rounded typography invites more
gentleness and recalls living well together. The iconographic visual
is in line with the pencil drawing of the old logo evoking the three
major districts of the municipality, La Plaine, Les Coteaux and Le
Canal. The three colors have also been brought up to date, thus
improving the readability of the logo on different media."
