Name: Ruder-Club "Mark" e.V.
Located in: Wetter/Ruhr (Northrhine-Westphalia)
Established: 25 July 1901 as Sport Club Wetter (SCW)
It is a white flag with a green off-centred cross, black cotised. It is superimposed by the coat of arms of the counts of Mark (Markian chequered-bar in a golden shield).
The club was established on 25 July 1901 as Sport Club Wetter and renamed shortly after WW2, probably in 1919.
Since then its name was Ruder-Verein Wetter.
On 18 February 1929 the boards of Ruder-Verein Wetter und des RC Wittekind (in Herdecke) suggested a merger of both clubs, hoping to gain new members from Hagen, Vorhalle, Volmarstein and Wengern.
On 30 June 1926 the former was registred as Ruderverein Wetter e.V.
On 26 March 19129 the members of RC Wittekind voted for a merger. The members of Rv Wetter had done the same shortly before.
On 12 June 1929 delegates from Hagen, Herdecke und Wetter decided that the oldest club, Ruderverein Wetter, should continue to exist by changing its name, its statatutes and its flag.
On 18 June 1929 a general asssembly decided to adopt the name Ruder-Club Mark.
