Description of current flag:
The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a red over yellow over red horizontal triband with ratio 1:4:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the hoist within the yellow stripe.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess. Above in blue field are a golden (=yellow) 8-point star and below the star a horizontal arrow of the same colour pointing to the sinister side. Below in a red field is a silver (=white) inescutcheon superimposed by a golden (=yellow) escarbuncle having eight beams (only four visible).
Meaning:
According to source the lower half is symbolizing the dukes of Kleve, the upper half the patron saints of former municipality of Drevenack, St. Suitbertus, symbolized by a star, and that one of Hünxe, St. Stephen, symbolized by an arrow.
