Shield parted per saltire of Argent and Azure, above a sinister facing carp najant Azure, beneath a pike najant Azure, at dexter and sinister on each a grain ear Or in pale; over all an inescutcheon Or, issuant from its base a castle Gules with open port and having three towers.
Meaning:
The inescutcheon is representing former Zahna municipality and displays its arms in different tinctures. The grain ears are symbolising agriculture in the surrounding villages and the fish are symbolising fishery on the Elbe River.
